Why Grounding is Needed for a Private House

Grounding protects people from electric shock and ensures the proper operation of the protective RCD. Without proper grounding, the RCD simply will not trip in case of current leakage.

Types of Grounding Systems

TN-C-S — the most common in Ukraine. The neutral is split at the input.
TT — its own grounding loop, independent of the neutral. More reliable for private houses.

Grounding Loop Design

Standard loop: 3 steel electrodes (angle bar 50×50×5 mm), 2.5–3 m long, driven into the vertices of an equilateral triangle with sides of 2.5–3 m. Connection – steel strip 40×4 mm.
